IMPORTANT! 
Early 2012 Ls3 & Ls7 Corvettes do not have the GM retainer glued to the O.E factory filter (its separate). You can reuse your original retainer.
Late 2012 and all 2013 Ls3 & Ls7' cars come with GM retainer glued to the filter.  You will need to choose the "GM Retainer" option in the drop down menu when ordering. 

If your unsure if your car is a early or late 2012, simply take the filter out and see if your retainer is glued to the filter.
